PASIGHAT, Jun 24: Sigar military station is all set to set up six-days “Online Registration Help Desk” at the Pasighat Town-Hall from June 26 for induction of girls for General Duty Soldier with minimum qualification of matriculation, those who eagerly wish to join the Indian forces. During the period, personnel from Sigar Military Station will facilitate and provide guidance/process of online registration, informed Army sources today.
Meanwhile, East Siang Deputy Commissioner Dr. Kinny Singh lauded the move and assured to provide all logistic support and cooperation to the army officials in making the Help-Desk successful, however all Covid-19 norms is to be followed by the organizers and only fifty people at one time should be present on the spot as per Covid-19 SOP. Singh asserted that the proposal to induct women in the military police will strengthen women power similar to their male counterparts in guarding the nation.
