PASIGHAT, Mar 31: East Siang District Women's Football League 2021-22 concluded here on Tuesday amidst a huge turnout of spectators with Siang United Sporting Club emerging as champions.
Organized by Doying Gumin Football Training Centre (DGFTC) in collaboration with Adi Bane Kebang Women Wing (ABKWW), East Siang, the tournament which had the theme ‘Women Empowerment, Dare to Shine’ commenced on March 20 last, participated by six clubs namely Tezu Town Club, Siang United Sporting Club, Pasighat Football Club, Sanggo Football Club, Doying Gumin College and DTFC. The final match was played between Tezu Town Club and Siang United Sporting Club where the latter defeated the former in a tie breaker as it was 1-1 till full time. Tina Apum of SUSC was the league’s highest scorer and Atimang Panyang also from the same club was awarded the best goalkeeper award. Bagenlu Kathak of TTC was declared as the player of the league.
The organizing committee also awarded the medical team, referees, Adi Bane Kebang Women Wing, East Siang for sponsoring the league and President, DFA General Jamoh for his contribution in upliftment of women's football in the district. DIPRO
