Anglers across the world over, trek long distances to just have the fun or feel of catching a big fish. The Siang-Siyom angling spot is such that one can come here on vehicle, alight and catch a big golden Mahsheer in 20 minutes. This is not possible anywhere in the world, Tayeng said. He also appealed the organisers, locals and the administrator to protect and preserve the ecosystem of Simang-Siyom, river, forest and fishes from extinction.
This festival annually draws large number of participants and tourists from far and wide. This year due to covid pandemic, unlike the usual 3 day, the event was shortened to one day only and very limited participants were entertained.
