TAWANG, Apr 3:  A minor fire broke out at the residence of Deputy Commissioner, Tawang on Monday morning triggered by a short circuit from the “pooja” room of the house.

However no injury or casualty was reported in the incident.

Informing about the incident to this daily, DC, Tawang, Sang Phuntsok said that the fire started owing to old wiring which caused a short-circuit in the prayer room located on the first floor of the quarters.

As soon as we came to know about the fire and before evacuating the house, I alerted fire brigade about the incident and consequently exhibiting sense of responsibility and courage, neighbouring residents, police personnel rushed to the scene and brought the fire under control, the DC added.

No serious damages to property or no injuries were caused to the occupants, the DC further added.
