Pasighat, Feb 26: Hundreds of civil service aspirants and students from all walks of life gathered today to attend the first ever free mega seminar on UPSC/APPSC exam preparation held here at the College of Horticulture & Forestry auditorium.
The seminar was organized by ALS (Alternative Learning System) in collaboration with Donyi Polo Mission Itanagar, under the directorship of Mone Yonggam.
Addressing the seminar, CEO ALS Jojo Mathews briefed about the preparatory methods of UPSC/APPSC, touching the subjects to choose and how & what to study for these competitive exams. While interacting with the aspirants, he emphasised on keeping the right value of knowledge and inculcating positive attitude which is essential for them as future administrators. ALS will also have a sponsorship programme for needy and deserving aspirants, he added.
Pasighat branch of ALS is initiated and founded by former MLA cum Union Minister of State for Tourism Omak Apang, who stated that the venture besides benefiting the aspirants preparing for UPSC/APPSC exams, will uphold the idea of “Education at your doorstep” which will eventually pave the way for a new learning system in the entire eastern belt of Arunachal Pradesh.
ALS is a Delhi-based institute which is run by India’s foremost IAS mentor Jojo Mathews and its founding directors who have a joint teaching experience of more than 40 years, having taught almost 50,000 students across India with VSAT technology classes.
Zonal Manager Palas Pratim Gogoi, Nazrul Islam, Academic Coordinator for ALS East Siang Arun Tiwari and others attended the programme.
