ITANAGAR, Sep 30: Irked over the delay by the Health Department to appoint the newly selected 50 Nursing Officers and release of the inquiry report, the 50 selected  NOs today gathered before the Civil Secretariat demanding clarity on the matter.
“We cleared the recruitment process on merit, so there is no question of malpractices from our side. If there are any by thevofficials then action should be taken against them," said a selected candidate while informing that they have  met the concerned person who was part of the inquiry committee and sought detailed report.
Health Minister Alo Libang reportedly told the candidates that the exam will be re-conducted.
"We want a written notification citing on what basis and why recruitment will be re-conducted as we haven’t done anything wrong to get the job. We will support the department if there are malpractices from our side but won’t accept if the lacuna is from the department," stated another.
Responding to query, Secretary Health P Parthiban informed that on the basis of a complaint lodged by the ANYA- Papumpare, a committee was constituted to inquire into the same and the committee has recommended for re-examination.
"So now, we have canceled the earlier exam and shortly will be re-conducting the same," he said. When asked about the committee report as sought by the selected candidates, Secretary said that RTI needs at least 30 days but observing the genuineness of the candidates it will be done today itself.

"The earlier selected candidates have the right to take action as they deem fit but we are going with the recommendation of the inquiry committee," Parthiban said.
