ITANAGAR, Jun 19: The Tamin Elite Society (TES), while acknowledging the arrest of accused Lokbi Bojir by the Seijosa police, has condemned the statement issued by a relative of the accused of being ‘innocent’ and being 'framed'.
Condemning the statement, TES youth President Tokdak Tamin appealed to the Seijosa police to arrest the said relative of the accused and investigate him for alleged involvement in tampering and questioning the reports provided by the doctor and the case investigation officer.
“The child has numerous injury marks on entire body. How can the person term those marks/scars as caused by 'boil' (Furuncle).
We want the police to arrest the person and interrogate as per law,” he said.
Tamin further claimed that as per the Medico-legal Case (MLC) report by the doctor, it is confirmed that the minor was sexually assaulted. The victim was with the accused for the past two years, he added.
According to the press statement, the victim is undergoing treatment for mental trauma at a rehabilitation centre.
The TES thanked the people for generous donation of cash amounting to around Rupees Six lakhs for the treatment of the minor.
Earlier on Friday, while refuting the entire allegation against the accused Bojir, a relative of his, who reached the Seijosa Police station, had urged the police to make free & fair investigation claiming the accused was innocent and framed.
