KHONSA, Jun 27: In order to assess the progress of the ongoing centrally sponsored schemes of MNREGA, PMAY(G) & CMAYG in Tirap District, a team of RD & PR led by  Secretary Rural Development & Panchayati Raj Amarnath Talwade, IAS visited Khonsa along with Rajesh Nabam DD ,PR and Tamo Rebi,  PMAY(G) coordinator visited Tirap District on Saturday.
The meeting at DC's office started with welcome address by Deputy Commissioner, Tirap Taro Mize  in which he briefed about the importance of implementation of ongoing Centrally Sponsored schemes of Tirap under RD and Panchayat programmes.
Speaking at the meeting, Talwade, urged the department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj to ensure proper implementation of Centrally Sponsored schemes in a state like Arunachal Pradesh where majority of the population resides in the rural areas. 
Later, the Secretary RD and PR and his team visited Bera Gram Panchayat and inspected  all ongoing programmes executed under RD and PR in which he interacted with progressive farmers.  After physical inspections of ongoing schemes  MNREGA, PMAY(G) & CMAYG under  RD & PR in Tirap District, the Secretary appreciated team Tirap under the able leadership of DC cum CEO Taro Mize for implementation of the Centrally Sponsored schemes in a proper manner.
