ITANAGAR, Jul 13: The newly appointed Secretary, Rajya Sainik Board, Arunachal Pradesh, Commodore R.D. Mosabi (Retd.), called on the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) at Raj Bhavan, Itanagar today. They discussed about welfare programmes for the Ex-Servicemen of Arunachal Pradesh.
The Governor, who is the Chairman of the State Ex-Servicemen Association,so advised the Secretary to reach out to all the Ex-Servicemen of the state and assist them on the matters of their need.
The Governor emphasised that Rajya Sainik Board must ensure special care to facilitate all welfare schemes for the Vir Naris. He suggested to Air Commodore Mosabi (Retd.) to make extensive tour of the State to get in personal touch with members. The Governor emphasised on the pooling of effort of the Ex-Servicemen for the help of the people in the State during the times of need.
The Governor expressed his gratitude to the Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat for expediting the Rajya Sainik Board of the State. He expressed hopes that the Board will rise to the expectation of the Ex- Servicemen and will harness the expertise of the Ex-Servicemen, who are disciplined, nationalist, patriotic and well trained for meeting emergent situations to help the general public.
The Governor also suggested to Air Commodore Mosabi (Retd.) to utilize the Ex-Servicemen’s services for fighting the Corona Pandemic and motivating the people to actively follow COVID-19 appropriate protocol to keep society safe from the pandemic.
Major General Jarken Gamlin (Retd.), AVSM, SM, VSM, member, Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission was also present during the meeting and Air Commodore Mosabi (Retd.) thanked the Governor for his support in raising of the Rajya Sainik Board in the State.
