PASIGHAT, Jul 30: Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Secretary Amarnath Talwade accompanied by CEO ARSLM Solung Miji and PMAY SNO Tamo Rebi visited East Siang district today.
The visiting Secretary and his team along with PD (DRDA) East Siang Tajing Padung visited Borguli and Kiyit villages under Mebo subdivision and took stock of progress and implementation of various centrally sponsored schemes (CSS) including MGNREGA (G), PMAY, ARSLM etc.
Later in the evening, the secretary held an interactive cum consultative meeting with the ZPMs at the DC’s conference hall and reviewed various issues pertaining to schemes related to the rural development and urged the ZPMs to work with a holistic approach to uplift the rural populations. He informed that fund under 15th FC would be released soon adding that steps are being strengthen the PRIs.
ZPC Olen Rome and attending ZPMs briefed about hurdles and challenges being faced by them and asked the secretary for some improvement in the funding pattern and also to introduce LAD (Local Area Development) funds, owing to practical problems at the ground level. DIPRO
