Deomali, Aug 18: The SDRF Khonsa team today, with the support of community volunteers, recovered the body of  Pappon Mahato (31), from the Dihing River who downed on Saturday while attempting to cross the river.
The search and rescue operation was launched on Sunday under the command of ASI Yumto Pulong, SDRF Khonsa.
Following the recovery, the body was handed over to the Deomali Police for necessary formalities, including post-mortem examination.
