ITANAGAR, Apr 24: In the wake of alarming rise of Covid cases across Arunachal Pradesh, the department of Education through its circular issued on Friday has announced that all schools in the state including hostels of government, government-aided and private schools will remain closed starting April 26. All coaching centres including their hostels also stand closed with immediate effect.
Effectively, the summer vacation at all schools in the state will commence from April 26 and continue till May 31. However, teachers will attend the school for evaluation work observing Covid SOPs. The schools have been instructed to declare the results of Internal Examinations within May 8 (5 pm) without fail and necessary instructions will be issued by the CBSE for Internal Assessment of class X and issue of fresh data sheet for class XII. Internal Examinations held so far by the government schools will be counted for the purpose of assessment and those scheduled to be held from April 26 have been cancelled. Government-aided/private schools can decide on the mode of assessment including holding of exams, but only through online mode.
Although the DIETs and their hostels will remain closed from April 26, teaching process for D.El.Ed courses will be allowed through online mode.
