ZIRO, Apr 19: A day-long orientation programme on ‘Ayushman Bharat-School Health and Wellness Programme for Principals and Headmasters’ was jointly organised today by the departments of School Education and Health and Family Welfare, Lower Subansiri district here at the DC’s Conference Hall.
The objective of the programme was to improve both the education and health status of the learners throughout the district. The School Health Programme under Ayushman Bharat was a joint collaborative initiative conjoined by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and Ministry of HRD. Principals and Headmasters from various schools of the district took part in the  orientation programme. DDSE Tabia Chobin and District ASHA Nodal Officer (DANO) Dr Radhe Angku also attended the programme.
The issue regarding proxy teachers in the district will not be spared at any cost, Chobin reiterated while urging the Principals, Headmasters and Teacher In-charges to be vigilant over it.
