NAMSAI, Jul 4:The Parliamentary Secretary,( Planning), Chau Zingnu Namchoom distributed 800 sets of Desk & Benches to all Higher Secondary, Secondary, Upper Primary and Primary schools of Namsai Assembly constituency under small industries development fund (SIDF) scheme on Monday.

He also distributed computer sets to eight schools under MPLAD fund scheme provided by MP Ninong Ering.

The handing over ceremony was held at Namsai club in presence of Deputy Commissioner, RK Sharma & various HoDs .

Speaking on the occasion, Chau Zingnu Namchoom informed the gathering that the distribution was a part of state government commitment to give top most priority to education and health sector.

Namchoom later also assured to provide modern facilities to schools and requested the school authorities to conduct extracurricular activities to nurture the hidden talent and also to build competitive minds amongst students.

Earlier, the DC asked the officers of other departments to voluntarily adopt at least one school to oversee the whole teaching-learning environment and to put forward suggestion for further improvement.
