LONGDING, Dec 22: A School Level Achievement Survey 2022-23 of Mission Learning Enhancement of Arunachal Pradesh (Mission LEAP) was conducted successfully in eleven sample schools of four blocks of the Longding  district under Project SATH of NITI Aayog, New Delhi.
The Assessment exercise began with training of eleven Supervisors and sixty Field Investigators on the December 16 last by Ravindra Kumar Mishra, Senior Manager – Education of reach to Teach Foundation, Gurugram.
About one thousand students of class three, five, eight and tenth took part in the assessment. This assessment is unique in a sense that it comprises of oral and written test, a ladder test, which tests the learning level of lower classes learning outcome also. Besides students teachers, head teachers, SMC members, CRCC, BRCC, BEO, DIET Principal and DDSE cum DPC have also been interviewed for situational analysis.
The whole process has been carried out in a mission mode. The analysis of the survey result will be helpful in understanding the situation of the state and the learning level of the students. Further, it will add to planning for the recovery of learning loss and learning enhancement of the students of Arunachal Pradesh.
It is pertinent to mention that the performance of the state in National Achievement Surveys merits immediate attention of the policymakers and implementors to assess the situation at a deeper level to chalk out strategies to promote the ranking of the state. SLAS 2022-23 will clarify the situation further and set a benchmark to improve further.
