PASIGHAT, Oct 22: Sainik School, Niglok in East Siang reopened on Friday amid strict safety protocol. The newly joined Principal Praveen Kumar Pola while taking all steps to adhere to the Covid-19 guidelines, welcomed the students of standard-IX today after closure of almost one-and-a-half years due to the pandemic. Teachers, staff and students wore face masks and adhered to guidelines while entering the school premises. Students were seen happy and enthusiastic attending physical classes from today. 
Deputy Commissioner East Siang Dr. Kinny Singh congratulated the school fraternity for reopening the school and assured to extend all supports to the school for safety, security and betterment. She advised the students to be attentive in studies and to take part in co-curricular activities for healthy body and mind. 
Principal Pola while welcoming the students back to physical classes has stated that it would give the students better chance to educate themselves. A certain number of students would be present in classes which would allow the school authorities to easily maintain proper physical distancing among the students. So far it is a residential school, normal classroom transaction for all classes would be resumed in phase wise within a very short period. “Recently I have taken over the charge of Principal and my goal is very clear. I always welcome positive criticism for betterment of the school and future of my lovely students. In setting objectives, I make sure to communicate with my staff so that they understand their roles in accomplishing those shared goals. Feedback from East Siang administration, parents and local leaderships would be a platform for offering praise and boosting confidence for me and my associates," Pola said. DIPRO
