PASIGHAT, Aug 27: Sainik School, Niglok on Thursday celebrated its 2nd Raising Day with East Siang Deputy Commissioner Dr. Kinny Singh joining the event as Chief Guest.
DC congratulated the first Sainik School of the state for overcoming all hurdles and giving efforts to become one of the best educational institutions in the state through quality education and all-round development of cadets. “This important education institute of the state holds a place of pride for the people of East Siang and Arunachal Pradesh as a whole,” she said while lauding the school for conducting online classes and proactively reaching out to the students during the pandemic. Assuring that the DA will provide all-possible support, she exhorted the students to keep up the spirit.
Earlier, messages of the Governor and Chief Minister were conveyed to the students. Secretary Education Niharika Rai, Director Elementary Education T. Gao and the Founder Principal also conveyed their video messages. ADC Ruksin T. Jonnom, DDSE Jongge Yirang, Principal Lt. Col. Rajesh Singh, Vice-Principal Lt. Cdr. Amit Kumar Dutt, GBs of Niglok and Mikong villages and teachers and staff observed the occasion as per the new normal. As a part of the celebration, the DC and ADC inaugurated the school’s website and academic and desk calendar respectively. A few teachers and staff were also felicitated by the DC for their exemplary contributions to the school. Later, the DC took stock of the progress of construction works of the permanent campus and stressed on meeting the completion deadline.
The cadets joined the celebration through digital platform in view of the pandemic with displays of cultural performances and a national anthem musical rendition. DIPRO
