Sagalee, Mar 7: Minister RWD etc Honchun Ngandam has appealed all stakeholders including the common people, GBs and party workers to be part of the process of state and national development.
Ngandam made the appeal today while addressing a gathering of local villagers, public and party leaders on the occasion of foundation stone laying ceremony of the RCC bridge over Nimte river at Sangri village under Sagalee sub-division. “State government under the leadership of Pema Khandu and Chowna Mein is working tirelessly for the welfare of people and funds are being provided as per availability of resources and viability of projects,” he said.
All stakeholders should join hands and support the panchayats, District Administrations and the state government for faster development, the Minister remarked and urged the locals to solve petty problems amicably instead of making complaints time and again and resorting to litigations.
Terming that development is only possible if there are roads, bridges and telecommunication infrastructure, he sought support from all for proper implementation of schemes and projects. We cannot cheat people as due to emergence of technology, all schemes are gradually being geo-tagged with third-party monitoring of every work, he said. Referring to a memorandum submitted, Ngandam said the matter will be taken up at appropriate level for approval in the next financial year. Shortfall of administrative officers in several places is a matter of concern and the process of recruitment is underway by APPSC, the Minister added.
Doimukh MLA Tana Hali Tara while addressing the function as Guest of Honour stressed on fast-tracking of developmental schemes so that the last person in row gets benefited. He also highlighted the need to maintain environment so as to preserve the state’s flora and fauna and urged the villagers and GBs to work towards maintaining ecological balance and wildlife conservation.
BJP senior leader Dominic Tadar, Sagalee ADC S Lowang, RWD Executive Engineer Techi Totu, Organising Chairman Taba Tagi, Organising Secretary Nabam Kacha and overall In-charge Ngurang Tale were among others who addressed the gathering.
