PASIGHAT, Aug 4: The rural e-commerce platform MeeBuddy which will serve as the online route for local SHGs, artisans and rural entrepreneurs for selling their products, arts and crafts to an expansive customer base was launched here on Tuesday by DC, East Siang Dr. Kinny Singh.
Making the official launch DC hoped the online platform will give wider market penetration for the local and agri-horti products and go a long way in bringing economic empowerment to the rural entrepreneurs. She further informed that customers from rural areas can access delivery of doorstep services ranging from grocery, transport, plumbing, electrical works, agri tools, labour etc. through MeeBuddy and appealed the rural SHGs and others to register with the platform. Congratulating the team for expanding the services to East Siang district after Tezu and Roing as a part of expediting the dream of e-commerce in rural India under the Smart Village Movement Arunachal Pradesh, DC asked them to follow all SOPs issued by the DA.

Pasighat Branch Manager of MeeBuddy, Jyoti Tamuk hoped the new initiative will promote and encourage skilled and upcoming entrepreneurs in rural areas. DIPRO
