ITANAGAR, Oct 21:  The Arunachal State Badminton Association (ASBA) has announced that the 12th Chief Minister Veteran and Sub-Veteran State Badminton Tournament will be held at Rupa in West Kameng district from November 4 to 9.
The prestigious annual championship will be organised by the West Kameng District Badminton Association (WKDBA) at the Wangdi Multipurpose Indoor Badminton Stadium. The event has been officially sanctioned by ASBA.
The tournament will feature multiple categories across different age groups — 35+, 40+, 45+, 50+ and 55+ — in men’s and women’s singles and doubles, including mixed doubles in 35+, 40+ and 45+ brackets. A player will be allowed to participate in a maximum of three events.
Entries must be submitted through affiliated units only by October 25, with the main draw scheduled to be published on October 28. Withdrawals without penalty can be made until October 30.
The competition will follow the Badminton World Federation (BWF) and the Badminton Association of India (BAI) rules, and matches will be conducted on a knockout basis. Entry fees have been fixed at ₹1,000 for singles and ₹2,000 per pair for doubles.
Winners, runners-up and semi-finalists will be awarded medals and certificates, the ASBA said in its circular.
