ROTTUNG, Oct 11:  In an endeavour to  keep their village clean and hygienic, locals of Rottung village in Siang district in association with Enlighten Society of Rottung conducted  cleanliness drive today.
“Our motive is to make Rottung village as one of the cleanest villages of the state ‘ said a villager. He also informed that students, villagers have jointly participated in the cleanliness drive under the banner of Rottung Students Union and Enlighten Society of Rottung.
Every Sunday similar cleanliness drive will be carried out and residents have been urged to take care of their domestic animals for hygienic surroundings.
Villagers including students cleaned the surroundings of their homes, school, Dere (Community hall), Anganwadi centre, shops etc.
