ZIRO, Feb 16: The Traffic Cell Ziro, Lower Subansiri District Police in collaboration with the  Apatani Youth Association(AYA) conducted a Road Safety Drive and Traffic Awareness campaign today at Hapoli Market.
The awareness programme aimed at raising public awareness on  traffic rules, persuade motorists and pedestrians to follow these rules while on the road and ultimately to reduce casualties due to road accidents. 
The Traffic Cell has chalked out series of such awareness campaigns and activities for road safety and to reduce various traffic violations.
In a novel way, traffic violators were given flower and sweet by the campaign team with a warning against futher violations, which could lead to imposition of heavy fines.
The campaign was successfully conducted under the guidance of SP Harsh Indora and Tapi Mali, President AYA , members of Apatani Student Union among others.
