Itanagar, Jul 24: Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) today convened a high-level meeting here at Raj Bhavan which is as a part of his continuing efforts to strengthen the road connectivity infrastructure in state.
Attended by the Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, RWD Minister Honchun Ngandam, Urban Development Minister Kamlung Mossang and other officials, the meeting inter alia, discussed in details about the construction of the long pending Miao-Vijoynagar Road within a time bound schedule. Reiterating the need for a concerted effort from all stakeholders for building a good road connectivity system in state, the Governor also shared his concern about the current road blockades and damages due to torrential rain.
Besides emphasizing on the proactive roles of the government departments and meeting deadlines within schedule, he also opined that private construction agencies must ensure quality of work to avoid the recurring incidences of road damages during rainy seasons. The ministers, senior officers and engineers briefed the Governor on the issue with reference to strategic roads particularly the Miao-Vijoynagar road in Changlang district.
