Aalo, Feb 9: General Secretary, Ramakrishna Math and Mission Belur Math Revered Swami Suviranandaji Maharaj today inaugurated the 74-roomed colossal building of Ramakrishna Mission School Aalo in presence of Swamijis from all over India, officers, alumni and School Management Committee amid vedic chanting and applause here at the school premises.
Speaking in front of a mammoth gathering, Swami Suviranandaji termed it as his home coming after 23 years and appreciated the developments that have taken place in the school after his departure as head of the institution. He was all praise for the people who are directly or indirectly involved in the expansion and lauded the role of late Boken Ete who was instrumental in bringing the institution at Aalo and insisted the Swamijis to engrave his name in the Platinum Celebration of the school to make him a part of the institution forever.
“Great Indians have drawn inspirations from the works of Swami Vivekananda,” Swamiji said and exhorted the students to imbibe his ideals that hold big relevance today. He also released the souvenir titled ‘Urapnam’ and felicitated the members of the School Management Committee. Sharing his nostalgic memories, alumnus Maj. General Jarken Gamlin said the school has produced many luminaries to serve the state and the nation at various capacities and RK Mission School Aalo laid foundation for him to be adjudged as the ‘Best Cadet’ in his military college at RIMC.
It should be our endeavour to contribute our best so that the institution grows from strength to strength, he said.
Trustee, Ramakrishna Math and Mission and Secretary RKM Narottam Nagar, Swami Aschuteshanandaji said that Aalo bears the torch for establishment of RKM schools in Arunachal Pradesh as it was first established here in 1966 that led to further demands of missionary schools in the state.
Secretary RKM Ranchi Swami Bhaveshananda, Secretary RKM Deoghar Swami Jitendranandaji and Secretary RK Mission School Aalo Swami Yogiswarananda dwelt at length on the growth and development of the school. Alumi Dr. Kejom Padu and Er. Geli Noshi also shared their moments on the occasion. DIPRO
