ZIRO, Jun 16: The Deputy Commissioner Lower Subansiri, Somcha Lowang today received 200 pulse oximeters donated by Union Minister of Sports & Youth Affairs- Kiren Rijiju at circuit house, Hapoli.
Expressing gratitude to the MoS, Lowang said that the oximeters will be of great assistance in monitoring the health conditions of Covid patients in Covid Care Centers and home isolation.
"A modality will be worked out to issue the oximeter to Covid positive cases , ensuring the needy and the poor are benefitted from this donation, " she added.
She further brought to the notice of the Minister about the lack of amenities like platform for cremation, water connectivity etc at the lone Memorial Park ( cremation ground) at Tarin , which was constructed from the MPLAD.
" During this pandemic unclaimed Covid-19 related dead bodies has to be disposed by the administration. The lack of facilities in the cremation ground is posing lot of difficulties for the administration," she added.
She further informed that the maintenance of the approach road to the cremation ground will be taken up in priority and called for voluntary contributions from all the HoDs.
The donation was made in the presence of DMO Dr. Tage Kanno, Komjum Tasso, OSD to MoS, Duyu Jimmy, VP ,District BJP and ranks and files of Lower Subansiri District BJP unit. DIPRO
