“It is a matter of pride that Ziro has put Arunachal Pradesh in the global picture through its rich cultural and traditional practices and equipping this blessed place with better tourism infrastructure will definitely boost the tourism economy of this area,” he added.

Underscoring the importance of law and order for development to take place, Rijiju said that Goan Buras and Goan Buris should be reminded of their powers and duties and be entrusted as custodians of law in the village level. He also committed to a multipurpose Goan Bura Hall at a cost of 50 lakhs.

“The rain-fed streams of this plateau will be unable to cater to the agricultural and domestic demands in the future. Therefore a major water supply scheme to tap the water from river Pange at the cost of 86 crores will be prioritized immediately,” he further committed.

Terming good roads and connectivity as an economy booster he said “A progressive district like Lower Subansiri needs to retrospect as to why the earliest sanctioned TAH (Potin to Bopi) could not be kick started.
