ITANAGAR, Feb 29: Arunachal Bullet Club (ABC), the premier riders club in the state on Saturday delivered a substantial quantity of unused clothes and other items collected during the month-long donation drive organized for Asha Bhawan, Banderdawa in several districts.
ABC is dedicated to improving the community by offering services through charity rides and donation drives. The club collected these items in the months of January and February.
“Being in the club makes me feel like a better person overall, with the longing how I can help the community and bring positivity to the disadvantaged sections of society. It was heartening to see happiness on the faces of those less fortunate individuals who have been deprived of the basic necessities by fate,” said ABC Chief Jesy Debia. Debia also thanked the well-wishers who came forward and donated clothes including other items to support the cause of Asha Bhawan, home for the destitutes, old and unprivileged children and said the club had received tremendous response from the public from day one as large number of people came forward to donate their old clothes.
Entrepreneur and social activist, Tai Tayu and ADC, Kimin Likha Teiji who graced the occasion as the chief guest and guest of honour, praised the club's effort and urged them to continue such noble works in near future. Both appealed the state government, individuals and organizations to extend all possible help and support the endeavour of the Asha Bhawan. Director, Albert Yore and Management Incharge, Thangboi Ngaihte Asha Bhavan Banderdawa Branch informed that currently there are more than 19 people in Asha Bhawan Nirjuli and its branches are spread across many cities with its main headquarters at Dimapur. Asha Bhavan also provides shelter and rehabilitation to addicts, children and abandoned old people free of cost.
