Rono Hills, Aug 24: The weeklong national e-FDP titled “Resilience, Resurgence & Revival Measures for Unorganized Sector: A Roadmap to Self-Reliant India” organised by the Department of Commerce, Rajiv Gandhi University commenced here on Monday.
RGU VC Professor Saket Kushwaha while delivering the inaugural address shared his reflections on the unorganized sector and appreciated the collaborative efforts of the varsity’s departments in conducting the programme which will continue till August 29. Head of the organizing Department and Director e-FDP Professor Otem Padung, Convener and Organizing Secretary e-FDP and Assistant Professor in the Department of Commerce Dr. Vinod Kumar Yadav spoke on the occasion. Head, Department of Sociology, Shivaji University (collaborating institution) Professor Jagan Karade deliberated intensively on the different sociological dimensions, role and relevance of the unorganized sector and expressed concern over the sector’s prevailing challenges. Vice-Chancellor, SRTMUN, Nanded, Dr. Udhav V. Bhosle delivered the Guest of Honour address.
During the technical session, Professor Shreenivas Khandewale and Dr. Rajendra Singh, popularly known as the ‘Waterman of India’ for his contributions in water conservation gave deep insights on the topic.
