RONO HILLS, Aug 21: The 5-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on the theme: ‘Health Interventions for Fit and Prosperous India’ organised by Rajiv Gandhi University’s Department of Physical Education which commenced on August 17 last concluded here on Friday.
A total of 221 participants joined the FDP through the Zoom platform and renowned experts from across the nation delivered lectures on various topics related to health, fitness and its impact on national economy through the perspectives of policy planning. While the technical session of day two discussed the topic ‘Happy Hormones for Happy Life’, the third day’s topic was management of osteoarthritis in different age groups and professions including geriatric care. The fourth day dwelt on lifestyle diseases commonly prevalent in society and Ayurveda as a solution and the perception of society about stress factors. The concluding day started with an interactive technical session wherein the importance of sports for enhancement of mental and personality development was discussed. The second technical session of the day threw light on the interrelationship between citizens’ health and national economy and the importance of health in policy planning.
