RONO HILLS, Dec 9: Rajiv Gandhi University’s annual official language magazine ‘Arun-Chhata’ published by its Hindi Cell was officially released today by VC Professor Saket Kushwaha.

Making the release, the VC who is also the Chairman of the varsity’s Official Language Implementation Committee encouraged the Hindi Cell to adopt the policies and rules framed by the Central government for Rajbhasa implementation. Registrar-cum-member (ex-officio) of the committee Dr. N.T. Rikam while emphasising the importance of official drafting, noting etc. in Hindi, suggested the Hindi Cell to conduct training programmes regularly for the employees. Joint Registrar Dr. David Pertin spoke on how bilingual forms, drafts etc. can be initiated easily using new technologies.

Hindi Officer-cum-Member Secretary of the Official Language Implementation Committee Gumpi Nguso, Dean, Faculty of Languages Professor Oken Lego were among others present during the release event.
