Rono Hills, Nov 25: Rajiv Gandhi University will commemorate Constitution Day on November 26 through a national level e-symposium on ‘Justice Delivery Mechanism in India: Existing Concerns and Evolving Dimensions’ to be organised by its Departments of Social Work and Law.
The symposium intends to highlight the existing concerns and evolving dimensions of the Indian judicial system and sensitize the stakeholders through brainstorming sessions on the issues. Governor Brigadier (Dr.) B. D. Mishra (Retd.) will grace the occasion as Chairperson and Chief Minister Pema Khandu will be the Guest of Honour. Acting Chief Justice of Gauhati High Court, N. Kotiswar Singh will be the keynote speaker besides the presence of several legal luminaries like Justices Nani Tagia and Parthiv Jyoti Saikia of Gauhati High Court, Permanent Bench, Naharlagun.
Delegates representing senior bureaucracy, police, judicial officials of the state, academia and Heads of Institutions will also be participating in the e-symposium.
