RONO HILLS, Sep 8: A 5-day international level Capacity Building Programme (CBP) on ‘Approaches for Quality Research Paper Writing in High Impact Journals’ was organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell of Rajiv Gandhi University here from September 2-6.
The programme which was a workshop by nature got a huge response with registration of more than 1282 participants from 10 different countries like Nigeria, UAE, Ukraine, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Yemen, Kenya, Vietnam, Bahrain etc. Director, IQAC, RGU Professor R. C. Parida in the inaugural session said the workshop’s aim was to promote quality research papers. Coordinator Dr. Sambhu Prasad stated the workshop aims to stride the objectives laid down by the New Education Policy 2020 which strives to raise the position of Indian universities in global rankings. Chief Patron VC Professor Saket Kushwaha exhorted the young researchers to work hard and maintain quality of research. Former UGC Chairman, Professor Ved Prakash threw light on many aspects of quality teaching and research. Joint Secretary, UGC Dr. Archana Thakur and Resource Person of the programme deliberated on ‘Academic Research and Integrity’ and highlighted the various research activities of the UGC that are undergoing at various universities, colleges and institutes across India. Talking about NEP 2020, she emphasized on creating a robust ecosystem of research in the Indian institutes.
Vice Chancellor, Taraba State University, Nigeria Professor V. A. Tenebe and other prominent speakers from various institutes such as Tezpur University, Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE), Dehradun, IIT-BHU and others spoke during the six-day programme.
