RONO HILLS, Jul 30: The 3-day lecture series on ‘Gandhian Ideas on Educational Policies and Practices’ organised by Rajiv Gandhi University’s Department of Education which was also streamed live on the department’s own YouTube Channel concluded on Thursday.
On the second day, Dr. Noushad P. P. from the Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottamyam, Kerala through his lecture termed the Gandhian educational thoughts a great source to understand the present-day problems. On the third day the first lecture was delivered by Faculty of Education, BHU, Varanasi Dr. Alok Gardia which covered the theme‘Lessons from the life of Mahatma and his thoughts on education’. The last lecture of the series was delivered by Dr. Anna Nina George from GVM College, Ponda, Goa on the theme ‘Implementing Gandhian Ideology in Science popularizing programmes among School Children’.
Assistant Professors of the department and Conveners of the lecture series Dr. Sumin Prakash and Dr. Vivek Singh moderated the programme and took questions from participants who attended from all across the country through Google Meet and YouTube live streaming.
At the end of the programme Head, Department of Education Professor Kesang Degi delivered the vote of thanks to the participants and speakers. RGU PR
