RONO HILLS, Oct 6: The Alumni Association of Rajiv Gandhi University (AARGU) celebrated its 2nd Alumni Day 2020 in a virtual mode through the Google Meet platform on October 5 last. 
President, AARGU Dr. Nani T. Jose while briefing the objective of the celebration, requested the alumni to look back to the alma mater. Secretary, Alumni Affairs Solung Sonam informed about the recent approval and establishment of the Alumni Affairs Cell under university administration, plans for bridging the gap programme between notable alumni and current students, maintenance of alumni database and networking, scholarships and endowment funding and other social initiatives. 
VC Professor Saket Kushwaha as Chief Guest underlined the contributions of the notable alumni and agreed to shoulder all-possible support for growth of the alumni factor at RGU apart from their involvement in curriculum discussion. Judge, Sessions Court (Pasighat) and RGU alumnus Budi Habung as keynote speaker spoke on the theme ‘Customary Practices in tribal society of Arunachal Pradesh: its relevance in present time’.

Registrar Dr. N.T Rikam, Vice-President, AARGU Dr. David Pertin spoke on the occasion. Senior alumni, executive members of the alumni association, administrative officers and young alumni members also joined the session.  RGU PR
