Rono Hills, Aug 23:  Rajiv Gandhi University’s Department of Commerce will be organising a weeklong national e-FDP titled “Resilience, Resurgence & Revival Measures for Unorganized Sector: A Roadmap to Self-Reliant India” starting August 24.
Four other departments of the varsity namely Social Work, Sociology, Mass Communication and Education and two premier institutions of Maharashtra- Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University and Shivaji University are the collaborators. The e-FDP is basically an interdisciplinary faculty development programme in online mode where various facets of the unorganized sector which form a substantial segment of the Indian economy will be addressed by renowned experts and resource persons from across the country. Although there is no participation fee, only the regular and sincere participants will be given a certificate of appreciation-cum-participation. The e-FDP will provide an opportunity to every participant to earn an award on the basis of their overall performance, regularity, sincerity, netiquette etc.
More than eight hundred applications have been received for the programme. One-fifth of the registered participants are only from Arunachal Pradesh and Assam and over 60 per cent participants will be from Arunachal, Assam, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. Faculty members from the entire Northeast region are also going to participate.
The e-FDP will continue till August 29 and the department’s Assistant Professor Dr. Vinod Kumar Yadav is its Convener and Organizing Secretary. RGU PR
