Rono Hills, Jul 16: Rajiv Gandhi University in collaboration with Aligarh Muslim University, Uttar Pradesh conducted ‘Yuva Sangeet Samaroh’ under the Union HRD Ministry’s Ek Bharat Shresthta Bharat (EBSB) mission here on July 15 last through online mode which saw the attendance of more than 100 participants.
AMU VC Professor Tariq Mansoor while highlighting the significance of academic and cultural exchanges among the universities situated in diverse geographical regions of the country, assured the RGU VC Professor Saket Kushwaha to extend all-possible help in exchange programmes of students and faculties between the two universities.
RGU VC elaborated the activities and objectives of the EBSB and opined that music is the only medium to strengthen bonds between cultures. Nodal Officers, EBSB, RGU Dr. Sambhu Prasad briefed about the Yuva Sangeet Samaroh.
The programme’s Convener was Professor Sampam Tangjang and Joint Coordinator’s role was played by Ashok Burman. Mukkir Dai, Jikeshen Pul and Pakngam Lombi of RGU and Haider Saifullah, Nazar Hussain and Anas Khan of AMU were the students who performed. Coordinator CEC and Nodal Officer, EBSB, Professor S. Sirajuddin Ajmali from AMU delivered the vote of thanks.
EBSB aims to enhance interaction between people belonging to diverse cultures living in different states and UTs with the objective of promoting greater regional mutual understanding. RGU PR
