RONO HILLS, Dec 9: Keeping in view of the ensuing PR and Municipal elections in the state on December 22, RGU authorities convened an emergency meeting on Wednesday evening to draw a new admission timeline.
It was decided that there will be partial modification and rearrangement of the varsity’s admission timeline for various PG and UG programmes. RGU Joint Registrar Dr. David Pertin informed that personal interview sessions for the candidates in a 3:1 ratio of the intake capacity will be completed on December 16 and the notification containing the final selection list will be also made available on or before December 16 by the concerned Department/ Institute.
Admission dates have also been advanced to December 19 from the earlier declared date to enable the students and faculty members to exercise their franchise. The university has declared an earlier winter break from December 21, 2020 to January 1, 2021 and the first semester classes will commence from January 4 next year instead of December 23, 2020.
Admission of waitlisted candidates will be conducted till December 27, while the admissions to clear resultant vacancies, if any, will be done on 11 January, 2021. It was also decided that admission processes will be made in a blended mode.
