ITANAGAR, Jun 18: Covid situation in Arunachal Pradesh continued to maintain the state of gradual improvement on Friday with a lone casualty and recoveries surpassing new cases.
The only casualty was reported from Changlang district with a 65-yr old male Covid patient who was suffering from COPD expiring at his residence. He was not vaccinated and the immediate cause of death was Covid pneumonia. Of the new 209 cases (asymptomatic 88; symptomatic 121) registered from across the state today, ICR accounted for 39, followed by Changlang and East Siang 22 each and West Kameng 20. A total of 314 new recoveries were recorded in which the first 5 districts were- ICR (73), Changlang (48), East Kameng (24), East Siang (24) and West Kameng (23). The state’s current Covid active cases are 2599, 29934 recoveries and 159 casualties. 5733 samples were collected from across the state on Friday. Occupancy status at the CCCs on Friday evening: 45 at DCH Chimpu, 15 at SQF Lekhi, 2 at DCHC Midpu, 6 at DCH Pasighat and 18 at DCHC.
