ITANAGAR, Jun 5:  Arunachal Pradesh on Saturday witnessed a more or less trouble-free  day with recoveries surpassing fresh cases. However, there was a single Covid-related death that took the casualty tally to 123.
The lone Covid patient to die was a 39-yr old male from Lohit district who expired on his way to AMC Dibrugarh. He was suffering from the comorbidity of hypertension and was not vaccinated. The precise cause of the death was Covid pneumonia.
A total of 327 new cases (asymptomatic 217; symptomatic 110) were recorded in the state with 77 from the ICR, 43 from Lohit and 39 from Tawang the top three districts.
Among the 402 recoveries, ICR, Changlang, Tawang and Namsai were the first four  with 117, 48 and 29 respectively. After these recoveries, the state’s discharge tally is now 25237. 7853 samples were collected from across the state on the day.
 A total of 7908 beneficiaries in the 18-44 age group took their first dose on Saturday. For the 45+ age category, it was 993 for dose 1 and 6 for dose 2.
Occupancy status at the CCCs  as on June 5  - 54 at DCH Chimpu, 29 at SQF Lekhi, 4 at DCHC Midpu, 9 at DCH Pasighat and 29 at DCHC.
