NEW DELHI, Feb 8: Rajya Sabha MP from the state, Nabam Rebia today during Zero Hour in Parliament raised the long-pending issue of creation of separate cadre of All-India services namely, IAS, IPS and IFS for Arunachal Pradesh.
The Government of Arunachal Pradesh has been time and again demanding a separate cadre and the state Legislative Assembly too has passed numerous resolutions to this effect and forwarded them to the Union Ministry of Home Affairs for necessary action, Rebia stated while arguing that it’s an urgent necessity for the border state which is geographically the largest in the Northeast.
“I urge upon the Government of India to take immediate steps for creation of a separate cadre of All-India services for Arunachal Pradesh,” the MP appealed.
