ITANAGAR, Apr 19: A meeting to work out the modalities for containing the second Covid wave in the state capital was convened today by Deputy Commissioner, Itanagar Capital Region Komkar Dulom here at his office chamber which was attended by all stakeholders.
The ICR DC informed that Rapid Antigen Tests (RATs) would commence at Banderdewa and Hollongi check gates from Tuesday and directed DMO Dr Mandip Perme to set up the testing centres and deploy required medical staff immediately. Entry at the said gates would be regulated from 6 am to 10 pm initially, he informed and asked SP Capital Jimmy Chiram to make necessary arrangements. Dulom also discussed in detail about the new protocols regarding home isolation, public gathering, functioning of weekly markets, status of DCH and CCC, intra-state and inter-district movement of vehicles etc. While urging all stakeholders to function as a team and give the best so that lacunae are avoided, the ICR DC said that all initial efforts should pursue the objective of containing the virus’s spread. Capital denizens must cooperate in the fight by wearing masks, maintaining social distancing, washing hands frequently and strictly following all Covid SOPs, he added.

Among others, ADC Balijan Tasso Gambo, SDO ICR Sangeeta Yirang, EAC Lod Takkar and EAC Balijan Marchina Boria attended the meeting. DIPRO
