Khonsa, Nov 24: The two-day training on ‘Utilization of ePOS Machine’ for the Fair Price Shop (FPS) owners/dealers of Tirap district conducted by the Department of Food & Civil Supplies for implementation of the One Nation One Ration Card (ONORC) scheme concluded today here at the Circuit House Community Hall.
Giving the details on ONORC scheme and offline mode of transaction, DF&CSO N. Songtheng informed that distribution/transaction of PDS rice under National Food Security Act through ePOS machines will start from December and the beneficiaries will have to collect their entitlement only on monthly basis. In ePOS machines there is no provision for issue of rice through backlog or advance methods, he added.
