Yupia, Sep 10: A two-day training of Fair Price Shop (FPS) dealers for launching the ‘One Nation, One Ration Card’ programme in Papum Pare district concluded here on Thursday.
Training was imparted for operating ePoS (Point of Sale) devices which shall be deployed in Fair Price Shops (FPSs) to ensure Aadhaar-based authentication of ration transactions. 87 ePoS machines, one in each FPS in the district were handed over to the dealers in presence of Deputy Commissioner Pige Ligu here at the DC’s Conference Hall.
On the first day of the training on Wednesday, ADC Tabang Bodung exhorted the FPS dealers to embrace technology-driven reforms to ensure beneficiaries get their rightful entitlements under NFSA. DF&CSO Honi Bayang informed the vendor for the project M/s Linkwell Telesystems Pvt Ltd has already placed a district coordinator to support the FPS dealers in operating ePoS machines and inspectors shall be visiting them to ensure the machines are deployed and made operational to issue ration under NFSA from September onwards.
The DF&CSO also informed that people from other states holding NFSA ration cards of their respective states can avail ration in Papum Pare especially in areas having online connectivity through IMPDS module in ePoS machines. DIPRO
