AALO, May 5: With the objective of strengthening the Covid guards further, West Siang District Administration today through an order made it mandatory for all West Siang-bound returnees to get RAT tested.
According to the order, those returning from the ICR will have to produce facilitation slip at point of entry (POE) Ruksin without which they will not be allowed to enter the district and returnees from Roing will have to self-isolate themselves for one night before being RAT tested in the next morning at the flu clinic. However, returnees who have taken vaccination and possess RAT/RT-PCR/TrueNat certificates issued by any Medical Officer within the previous 72 hours of arrival will not have to undergo the above protocols. The District Control Room for Covid-19 has been made functional 24x7 and any information and logistic support can be placed to the Nodal Officer, DCR in written form. All markets will remain closed from 6 pm to 6 am as per the decision taken by the DA after consultation with all stakeholders.
It has come to light that some returnees to the district who were routed through Likabali check gate without RAT tests were found to be Covid-19 positive at the flu clinic. It has also been decided to book such persons breaching the new order under appropriate sections of law. DIPRO
