ITANAGAR, Sep 7: The Community Health Center (CHC), Bhalukpong is facing a shortage of Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) kits and concerned authorities have been requested to refill the stock as soon as possible to continue the COVID-19 test at the Interstate border.
The request was made by Incharge -Medical Officer, CHC, Bhalukpong on Monday in a WT message to Secretary of Health and Directorate of Family & Health Services (DHS) Itanagar.
“RAT testing of Interstate state travellers at Point of Entry (POE) Bhalukpong may have to be discontinued or will have to be done selectively only for symptomatic ones from September 7 as only 182 RAT Kits are at hand as on September 6,” the WT message reads.
Meanwhile, when contacted, State Surveillance officer, Dr L Jampa said he has asked DMO West Kameng to collect 1300 kits from DHS so that the testing process is not interrupted.
