ITANAGAR, Dec 31: Arunachal unit of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra (SRJTK), a trust set up for construction and management of the Ram temple in Ayodhya today launched its contribution drive in the state.
On the first day of the contribution drive Governor Dr. B. D. Another special committee member Minister Taba Tedir informed that the drive will be launched across the country and Arunachal Pradesh is the first to launch it today. “A national level committee was formed this year to raise funds for 44 days and our initiative is the first in the country which will spread to the nook and corner of the state including the border areas. Teams and committees at lower level have already been constituted,” Tedir said.
“The day was chosen coinciding with the Donyi Polo Day, which is also a special occasion for the state and hope the state’s people support the initiative for construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya which besides being a religious spot will also be a major tourist attraction,” Tedir added.
