ITANAGAR, Nov 28: Rajiv Gandhi Central University is all set to conduct its Annual convocation for the XIXth time in a row on November 30 in blended mode. The University has a unique best practices of conducting the Annual Convocation on a fixed date every year.
This year a total of 7664 students comprising of Ph.D. (33), M.Phil (06), PG (913) and UG (6712) degrees will be conferred. The Gold Medalist, Ph.D. and M.Phil students shall receive the degree physically while rest of the students (UG/PG) will be awarded degrees in virtual mode.
The Gold Medals for topper of each Department/Subject in PG (31) and UG (29) courses and Chancellor’s Gold Medal and Vice Chancellor’s Gold Medals for over all toppers of PG and UG respectively will also be awarded in person during the Convocation.
The Governor of Arunachal Pradesh and Chief Rector, Rajiv Gandhi University, Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) will preside over the XIXth Convocation. Padmashree Prof. Jagmohan Singh Rajput, former Director, NCERT will grace the occasion as Chief Guest and deliver the Convocation Address. Minister Education Er. Taba Tedir will be the Guest of Honour and will address the gathering.
