RAGA, Jul 12: Raga, the headquarters of Kamle district has been declared as a containment zone w.e.f. July 14 (5 pm) onwards.
The decision was taken during the emergency meeting by the District Task Force for Covid-19, Kamle today convened in view of the recent spike in COVID cases in the district and in the headquarters in particular under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner  Adong Pertin.
The chief objective of the meeting was to chalk out strategies to contain the Covid positivity rate. Medical Superintendent, District Hospital Raga Dr. Nani Tarang while presenting the details of infection rate, vaccination and availability of doses with the district health department recommended for declaration of the district headquarters as containment zone for a week since the highest numbers of cases have been reported from here and is increasing daily. 
The DC instructed the health department to speed up the Maha Vaccination Abhiyan for all categories and avail voluntary services of all stakeholders like AWWs, teachers, PRI Leaders, GBs, religious leaders etc. to remove the misgivings from people’s mind about vaccines generated through social media.
