ITANAGAR, Jun 19: PWD Capital Division B has completed black carpeting works of the approach and exit roads of RKM Hospital as per the direction from Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar.
This was informed today by ICR Deputy Commissioner Talo Potom. Re-carpeting works on the said road will be extended till RKMH housing complex and other sector roads will also be taken up in a phased manner, the DC divulged, reiterating that the PWD has been trying its best to provide good roads and the capital District Administration will extend all-possible support. In yet another caveat, he asked the denizens to refrain from indulging in illegal activities like earth or cross cutting which damage the pavements etc. and violators will be booked under non-bailable sections of the Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act 1984. The Department of Highways and PWD have also been instructed to report such cases to the DA.
Er. Tarh Gongkap informed that the project has a target to cover 31.5 km, out of which 20 km will be taken up in the first phase. A total of approximately 7 km has already been taken up including areas like C and H sectors, Vivek Vihar etc, he informed, assuring that there will be no compromise in quality of construction. DIPRO
