PASIGHAT, Dec 15: Pasighat Veteran Football Club (PVFC) lifted the 2nd edition of the Ketem Yomso Memorial Veteran Football Tournament (KYMVFT) 2020 by defeating ABC Rengging FC 3-1 via tie-breaker in the final here at the Doying Gumin Football playground on Monday.
The final was witnessed by a large number of soccer enthusiasts in presence of Pasighat West MLA Ninong Ering, former Education Minister Bosiram Siram, veteran footballer and President, District Olympic Association Tamat Gamoh and prominent leader Mongol Yomso.
During the full 90 minutes play, both teams were levelled 1-1 with PVFC taking the lead in 9th minute through a goal by Tapang Tamuk. However, ABC Rengging’s Sani Taki restored parity in the 63rd minute. The match finally went into tie-breaker with PVFC converting two penalties to emerge champions.
Olom Darin of Eleven Wonders FC was awarded the Golden Boot as he was the tournament’s highest scorer with six goals and Nangku Gao of PVFC got the Golden Glove being adjudged the best goalkeeper. N. Lygndoh of PVFC was declared the Player of the Tournament and received the Golden Ball. No Angry Group FC received the Best Disciplined Team award.
Chief Guest Ering and other dignitaries handed over the trophies and prizes. DIPRO
